Canyon Lights are a rock power trio blending throwback rock n’ roll, swampy Americana, heavy blues, and 70s-inspired guitar rock into a sound that feels both classic and unmistakably modern. Founded by former GA-20 members Pat Faherty and Tim Carman, the band grew out of years spent touring together across the U.S., Canada, and Europe. After logging thousands of hours on the road with the Boston-based, three-time #1 Billboard-charting blues group, the two began exploring a broader sound inspired by bands like Thin Lizzy, James Gang, Mountain, and Led Zeppelin.

In early 2024, Faherty and Carman traveled to Denver to record a new batch of songs with engineer and co-producer Dylan Brown. The sessions became the foundation for Canyon Lights, a project rooted in raw rock n’ roll, honest songwriting, and the freedom to move beyond any one genre or scene. Today, Canyon Lights continues as a touring rock power trio, with a core touring lineup featuring Pat Faherty on guitar and vocals, Harrison Foti on drums and vocals, and Benton Parker on bass and vocals. Since forming, Canyon Lights have toured extensively throughout the United States, Canada, and Europe, including support dates for George Thorogood and appearances connected to the members’ extensive touring history with GA-20.

“The songs on this album are among the most personal we’ve ever written and recorded. Spending so much of life on the road, dealing with separation, loss, and the thrill and loneliness of living out of a suitcase, a lot of blood, sweat, and tears went into this music. We held nothing back.”

On their new roots-rock album, Barnburners!, Handsome Jack keep their sound raw and rugged, delivering a seamless yet unpolished blend of classic rock, swamp rock, and blues that feels instantly familiar while remaining personal and authentic. Fronted by the soulful vocals and remarkable guitar skills of Jamison Passuite, with Joey Verdonselli and Bennie Hayes anchoring a killer rhythm section and handling backing vocals, the Lockport, NY trio taps into the DNA of that old-time rock n' roll and gets the party started.  Roots-rock hasn't sounded this good in a long time!

Handsome Jack channels the spirit of classic American music into a sound that's as timeless as it is electrifying. Drawing from the deep wells of rock 'n' roll, R&B, blues, and old-school boogie, the band crafts songs that feel both refreshingly raw and instantly familiar— music that could just as easily be echoing from a backwoods juke joint as thundering through a packed club.

Handsome Jack has earned a devoted following not just among fans but also among their musical peers. Legends of the road and studio alike-Chris Robinson as well as the late Neal Casal of the Chris Robinson Brotherhood and The Black Crowes, Zachary Gabbard of the Buffalo Killers and The Black Keys, and Ben McLeod of All Them Witches — have all praised the band's ability to tap into the roots of rock n' roll with passion and artistry.
