KAREN AUSTIN

executive director

Karen D. Austin is proud to serve as Struthers Library Theatre’s Executive Director. Karen has served as a volunteer & board member since 2019, is on the board of the Woman's Club of Warren and is active in the Warren community. Karen lives in Warren with her husband, Gregory.

ARTISTIC Director

Eric joined the SLT team in the summer of 2019. He comes to the theatre from a musical, design, and print background. Eric stays creative with his bands, Co. Townes and Heron, and is a board member at the Crary Art Gallery. He spends his free time backpacking the beautiful Allegheny National Forest with his Australian Shepherd, Harvey.

Jenn SCALISE

Office Manager

Jenn has been at the theatre since 2019 and as a lover of history and the arts, is a perfect fit! When she is not at the theatre, she can be found spending time with her son, Brody and chocolate labradoodle, Mowgli. Anything having to do with creativity will spark her interest instantly! 

BAYLIE HOFFMAN

MARKETING

Baylie joined the SLT team in the fall of 2022 as our Marketing. In their free time, they enjoy hiking, music, horror films, and spending time with their pitbull, Groove. They will make you a playlist for any occcasion. Baylie is a volunteer for Hospice of Warren County and the Crary Art Gallery.

FRANK MITCHELL

FACILITIES MANAGER

Frank was born and raised in Warren. Retired from Targeted Pet Treats (TPT), he returned to the workforce due to his love for Struthers Library Theatre’s rich history. He spends his free time fishing and hunting and is an avid baker and horticulturist. Frank also enjoys time with the grandkids. He keeps the theatre looking good and running smoothly.

JENNIFER CHECK

EDUCATIONAL DIRECTOR

Meet our new Education Director! Jennifer Check is returning as the Education Director of Struthers Library Theatre, a role she previously held from 2010 to 2015. A lifelong Warren resident, Jen has contributed her talents as All-County Musical Director, ARTE Director, Director of the Youth Connection of Warren County, Warren Players member, director, and past President. She has been working with Warren County students in theater education since 1991. Jennifer is a dedicated educator in the Warren County School District. She resides in Warren with her four daughters.
