Phunkademic performs at Struthers Library Theatre on Saturday, March 13, at 8 pm. Voted Erie Reader's best new band of 2020, Phunkademic is Erie's premier party funk group. Consisting of Eric Brewer, Ralph Reitinger, Sam Edwards, and John Feighner (all winners of multiple REMA & Erie's top player awards), the group banded together during the pandemic bring new, high energy and uplifting vibe to the scene. Influences ranging from P-Funk and The Meters to new-age bands such as Lettuce and Cory Wong drive Phunkademic's desire to get the crowd on their feet.
